In final project, I would like to concentrate more into interactive website.
There are two types of website in nowadays, such as HTML 5 based and Flash based. However, what comes with my mind is I would like to push myself further more as in exploring more into HTML 5 with Javascript and Jquery. Other than that, I would like to polish up the skills of illustration. Therefore, at the end, I hope that user may appreciate both of the graphics and interactivity in the final project.
The following are some of the exercise that given by Sweii. We were asked to list down number of context of:
- 3 similar things to what you are thinking about – both direct and indirect associations, name them, show their covers, or an image from them, you are saying ‘It will be like this...’
- 2 sources of inspiration (music, poetry, film, game, novel) that are in play when you think about this idea
- 1 ‘heroes’ who you associate with the work you are doing

I) Hello Sour Sally

A website that built with Adobe Flash. This is the first frozen yoghurt store in Jakarta.What makes this website inspire me is the illustration and the user interaction(UI). In this website, user may using keyboard or mouse as the controller to control the character (Sally). User might explore all around the website by flying around with the balloon or jumping up by using the slingshot cupcakes. In the meantime of exploring the website, user might collecting the ingredient and achieve information by dropping the character into the cup. What I felt special about this website is the interactions does helps to attract user on the illustration and how the information approach to the user.
II) Panera: Live Consciously

A website that build with HTML5. This is the website with interactive journey through the world of Panera. In this website, user have to control the lorry to drive and overcome some little obstacles. In the journey of driving, user may achieve information by clicking the specific buttons. What makes this website inspire me is, the immerse of graphic with the creative way of interaction to help the information approach. By using simple interaction and the perfection of the graphic design, user might enjoy it very much.
III) The Hobbit :The Desolation of Smaug

This is an interactive website which having different interaction of telling The Hobbit story. In this website, there are some of the 3D elements, video, vectors and layering effects. What makes me inspire is the sound design which has the beneficial with the graphic and interactivity. As I am one of the user, I would get different achievement while experimenting different type of journey in the website. I couldn't foresee what is the next and keep looking forward. Thus, this website is enjoyable.
Extra ) Ruthless Spartans vs Cuddly Hipsters

I found another extra benchmark which this is interactive game website that build with HTML5. In this website, to play the game, user might able to choose the controller either mobile phone or keyboard. The aim of this website is to attack the "hipster" as many as you can. What makes me inspire from this website is, by using simple interaction moving the character around and attack on the hipster that actually gain a lot of excitement and tension to the user.
Through this severals interactive website that acknowledge me and giving me some inspiration on how interactivity helps to develop better understanding in content. From that, different website has different ways to approach to the user.
By inspiring of the website above, I would like to list out the initial ideas for my final project in below.

Inspiration sources:
Some of my inspiration will get from online videos such as vimeo or youtube. Below is one of the interesting video animation name Tom Fun Orchestra - Bottom of the River. This video animation has inspire me on Topic 1 which about the pollution of rubbish in the river.
Other than that, some of my inspiration sources that comes from reading online news and website feeds. I found surfing Pinterest that could gain a lot of ideas and inspiration.
